Examples for scala-debian-helper, taken from real packages built with it
=============================================================

Every debian/rules is the same three lines (rules); what changes from one
library to another is debian/scala-build, described in scala-build(5).

scala-build
The smallest file for a library built for Scala 2.13 and 3.

scala-parallel-collections/scala-build
One module, one Scala version, as dh-make-scala generated it; the one
FIXME (upstream's scalacOptions) is resolved in the last comment.
    check: 372 of 372 classes.

geny/scala-build
One source built for Scala 2.13 and 3; upstream uses Mill, not sbt.

munit/scala-build
Three modules that depend on each other (@module), a Java module built
once (Cross-Version: none), a library from the compiler packages
(scala-reflect), and upstream's options resolved by the packager.

scala-xml-2.12/
An existing package converted to scala-debian-helper: rules.before is the
hand-written debian/rules it replaced, rules and scala-build are the
result. Built both ways, the classes are byte-identical and the file
list, Depends and POMs are the same.

To start a new package, let dh-make-scala write these files:

    dh-make-scala estimate org.scala-lang.modules:scala-parallel-collections
    dh-make-scala make --scala 2.13 org.scala-lang.modules:scala-parallel-collections:1.2.0
    # review the FIXMEs it lists, build, then compare with upstream's jars:
    dh-make-scala check ../libscala-parallel-collections-scala2.13-java_*.deb
